Srinagar: Four civilians, including a woman and three children, were killed in cross border firing across the Working Boundary in Sialkot, according to Pak media reports quoting army’s media wing.
Reports quoting the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), of Pakistan as saying that 10 people were also injured in the firing.
Meanwhile, the Pak acting foreign secretary summoned the Indian high commissioner and condemned the “unprovoked ceasefire” violations by the Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary (WB).
The statement issued by the Pak Foreign Office said that the Indian forces along the LoC and WB are continuously targeting civilian populated areas with heavy weapons.
Earlier in the day four civilians and a BSF soldier were killed along the IB in Jammu.
Pertinently, after every cross border firing along the IB or LoC, both India and Pakistan accuse each other of violating the ceasefire which is in place since 2003.
