SRINAGAR: Reacting to the announcement of home minister regarding ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir during the holy month of Ramadhan, Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Wednesday said any peace initiative which can help restore peace and normalcy is all right but all necessary precautions need to be maintained so that the forces inimical to peace and harmony do not take advantage of the same.
In a statement, JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said Congress has never been hurdle in any initiative which helps restore peace in the state but BJP “stands exposed for its dual standard”.
He said the Government of India and the state government must keep close vigil and take necessary precautions so that the initiatives of peace are not misused by the forces inimical to peace.]
