Praise local Muslims for arrangements

Sopore: Scores of Kashmiri Pandits on Tuesday thronged the Nandkishor Asthpan temple at Seer Jagir village of Sopore to pay obeisance.
Kashmiri pandits have been visiting the Seer village to pray at the temple from many years.
Keeping alive the traditional amity between the two communities, local Muslims in the area came out in big numbers to welcome the Pandits. “The atmosphere was very cordial and warm. Ties between the two communities continue to remain strong. We welcomed them with open hearts,” Ghulam Qadir, a local told Kashmir Reader.
On the occasion, a group Kashmiri Pandits who prayed at the Nandkishor Asthpan temple said, “Nothing has changed here except that some of us are living in Jammu now while our Muslim neighbors are staying back, ”they said, “ All arrangements for the Pooja (prayers) was ready in place by the time we arrived. It was arranged by local Muslims, for which we have no words to thank them,” one of the pilgrims revealed.
It is pertinent to mention here that Nandkishor Asthpan temple was reopened in 2014 after a gap of 23 years. Since then a dedicated group of Kashmiri Pandits continue to visit here( Sopore) to pay obeisance at the temple.
