SHOPIAN: A Screening Health Camp of RBSK was conducted at Government Higher Secondary School Sedow Shopian. District Development Commissioner Shopian Gazanfar Ali was the chief guest on the occasion. DDC said that “society is an important part of our lives and therefore growth and upliftment of society is very important for overall growth. With our consistent efforts and deeds, we always wanted to improve the condition of people. This medical camp will help people to get health benefits. The aim behind organizing such activities is to encourage other people in the district to come forward and contribute positively to the society.” During the screening health camp, 8 mobile health teams provided consultation to 1250 children from various schools. Specialists consultations was provided to 568 children, out of which one children was found with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD), 25 pheyotherapy, 114 pedestrian, 1 Deafness (Hearing Impairment), 103 Visual Impairment & 76 Dental Problems. During the camp, all the children were given free de-worming tablets, age appropriate Vitamin A doses and refreshments. Free medicines were given to these children suffering with minor ailments. Adolescent girls were given counseling on Menstrual Hygiene. Further various adults were provided Health checkups and given free medicines. Chief Medical Officer, Block Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Staff Members of District Programme Management Unit Shopian, Officers/ Officials from Health were present in the camp.
