BARAMULLA: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) organised a day long programme on rural employment opportunities by providing skill development training to youth in district Baramulla.
DGM NABARD Qamar Javeed inaugurated courses on Cutting Tailoring and Data Operation sponsored by NABARD under support of NGO Initiative for Peace and Development (IPD) and in collaboration with 161 INFBN (Indian Army) at Gantamulla Baramulla.
The inaugural was also attended by General Manager J&K Grameen Bank, Lead District Manager Baramulla.
DGM on the occasion stressed upon having the vision towards better future for the trainees and shared his views about achieving goals with such skill development trainings in future.
DDM NABARD stressed on multi-skilling so as to ensure that a person acquires skills in multiple areas to get employment on a continuous basis. “For skills on one area may not be adequate to get regular employment in rural areas,” he said.
“The Training under skill development project sponsored by NABARD will generate employment among youth and they will be able to get employment within state and outside,” he added.
DDM NABARD explained that training will be given to candidates for two months and trainees will be provided adequate training skills which will make them well equipped in these skills and help them to generate the employment.
Project head NGO IPD thanked NABARD for providing such opportunities to rural youth for better employment generation.
