Muslim League condemns ‘harassment’ of prisoners in central jail

SRINAGAR: Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir on Monday condemned the alleged harassment of prisoners and their relatives at Central Jail Srinagar.
Muslim League spokesperson Sajad Ayobi in a statement issued here said, “The Srinagar Central jail authorities have unleashed a reign of terror in the prison. The plight of detainees is deeply disturbing. Even the visitors and relatives who come to see them in jail are also deliberately harassed by the authorities.”
The spokesperson termed the silence of international organisations towards the plight of Kashmiri prisoners as unfortunate. He hailed the sacrifices and the services of political prisoners and said that nation prays for their well-being and prosperity.
