SRINAGAR: People suspected of viral infections will be screened free of cost at Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar from May 25, officials told Kashmir Reader.
According to them, the order in this regard was issued by the Principal GMC Srinagar, Dr Samia Rashid on Saturday.
“All the HODs and faculty members have been asked to get the suspected patients of viral infections screened free of cost at Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory at the Department of Microbiology, GMC Srinagar. The facility will start functioning from May 25,” a senior official said. “The free tests will be done for viral infections including Dengue, Influenza A+B H1N1, Hepatitis A, B, C, E, Measles, Mumps, Rubela, Cytomegalovirus, and Herpes Simplex virus 1&2,” he added.
