SHOPIAN: Shutdown in Shopian this year completed 50 days on Thursday against the killing of 24 civilians and 21 militants since January 24 of this year.
All business establishments, shops and educational institutions remained closed in Shopian while thin traffic was plying on the roads.
Tuesday’s shutdown was the 14th consecutive day of shutdown against the killings of several civilians and militants over the past two weeks in the district.
Meanwhile, the internet also remains suspended in Shopian for the 45th day.
Most parts of Pulwama district, excluding Pampore and Awantipora belt, also remained shut for the 10th consecutive day against the civilian and militant killings.
