Srinagar: The education and business has been affected badly in south Kashmir’s Shopian as the district is observing complete shutdown on Friday against the recent civilian and militant killings by government forces.
This is for the 15th straight day barring one, that all shops, educational institutions, banks and other government offices are shut in the district.
Shutdown in Shopian this year has already completed 50 days on Thursday against the killing of 24 civilians and 21 militants since January 24 of this year.
The internet also remains suspended in Shopian for the past 45th days.
Many parts of Pulwama district, excluding Pampore and Awantipora belt, also remained shut for the 11th consecutive day against the civilian and militant killings.
