Protests in KU against professor’s, other killings

Srinagar: Students at The University of Kashmir Wednesday held protests against the killing of an assistant professor of the University by government forces during a gunfight in south Kashmir.
Dr Rafi Ahmad, a resident of Ganderbal had joined militant ranks two days earlier he was killed in Badigam village of Shopian alongwith four other militants including Hizb commander Saddam Paddar.
Six civilians were also killed in the clashes with forces which erupted near the gunfight site.
The Students assembled in the University premises and started raising slogans against the militant and civilian killings. They also raised pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
