Srinagar: A youth who was injured in firing by government forces during clashes in south Kashmir’s Shopian succumbed to his injuries at SMHS on Tuesday.
18 years old Sufail Ahmad was injured after forces opened fire on protesters at Nagbal on Sunday.
Clashes had broken out in Shopian areas amid a gunfight between militants and forces at Badigam.
Five militants were killed in the gunfight including Hizb commander Saddam Paddar and university professor Rafi Ahmad.
Five civilians were also killed in forces action in the area.
With the succumbing of Sufail, a resident of Dacho village in Shopian the death toll in Sunday gunfight and clashes has gone up to 11.
