Clashes erupt in Shopian village after youth succumbs

Srinagar: Clashes between protesters and government forces erupted in a Shopian village on Tuesday after an injured youth succumbed to his injuries at SMHS.
Sufail Ahmad Bhat, succumbed at SMHS taking the overall death toll in Sunday forces action to 11. The slain include top Hizb commander Saddam Paddar, University professor Rafi Ahmad and five civilians.
As the news about the succumbing of Sufail reached his native village, Dacho, people hit the main road of the village and pelted stones at the local Army camp.
Soon CRPF and police reached the spot who fired tear smoke shells and pellets to disperse the stone pelting protesters injuring at least four.
The clashes were going on when reports last came in.
