Srinagar: A tourist from Chennai died after being injured in an incident of stone pelting at Narbal on the outskirts of Srinagar Monday evening.
A girl from Handwara was also injured at the same spot Srinagar-Gulmarg road.
The tourist has been identified as Thirumani, 22, son of Rajwali of Chennai.
Reports quoting police said that some vehicles came under stone pelting at Narbal, resulting into injuries to two of persons who were referred to SKIMS Soura for treatment.
Besides Thirumani, the injured girl has been identified as Sabreena from Handwara.
Police has registered a case under FIR Number 57/2018 u/s 148, 247, 307, 336 RPC in Police Station Magam.
