Shopian: District Hospital receives 20 injured with pellets and bullets; 15 referred to Srinagar

Srinagar: The district hospital Shopian on Sunday recieved 20 injured civilians who had suffered bullet and pellet injuries.
Sources in the hospital said that majrity of the injured had grevious bullet injuries.
They said that 15 of the injured have been referred to Srinagar hospitals for specialised treatment.
The clashes erupted during and after the ginfight in Badiga village of Shopian district early today.
Five militants including top Hizb commander Saddam Padder and Kashmir University Professor Dr Muhammad Raafi were killed during the gunbattle.
Sources said that the situation across the southern Kashmir belt is tense.
