Imparting moral education to students need of hour: DSEK

SRINAGAR: Director School Education Kashmir Dr G N Itoo on Saturday said that imparting moral education to students is the need of the hour so that they become decent and humble along with acquiring education.
According to a statement issued here, Itoo toured district Baramulla to monitor imparting of moral education in schools at morning assembly sessions.
“The director visited higher secondary school Pattan and many other schools of the district and participated in morning assembly in these schools and observed the imparting of moral education to students,” the statement said.
Itoo directed all the heads of institutions of Kashmir division to impart moral education to the students in their schools.
Meanwhile, the director chaired an emergency meeting of all the education officers of the district and reviewed the progress of engagement of recent temporary teachers in schools. “The officers briefed director about the availability of staff in the schools,” the statement said.
The director said that department is making every possible effort to provide sufficient staff to the schools in Kashmir.
The director was briefed about the academic activities, conduct of practicals, attendance of students and completion of syllabus in the schools.
