DDC Poonch holds public grievance redressal camp at Guntrian

POONCH: The District Development Commissioner Poonch Mohammad Aijaz Asad on Friday visited Guntrian to get first hand appraisal of issues and grievances of people pertaining to development and public service delivery, here today.
People from Miran Sahib, Shahpur, Kirni, Mandhar, Bandichechian, Qasba, Islamabad, Kayyian and other adjoining areas projected various developmental issues including up-gradation of schools, foot bridges across rivulets for safe passage of students and resolving issues related to LOC Fencing alignment besides macadamisation of main and link roads, demand for J & K Bank branch and ATM near the Shrine, construction of road to Higher secondary school Islamabad, Footbridge connecting Upper and Lower Shahpur.
Local populace requested for time bound redressal of these issues.
Other issues raised in the public meeting included Release of payments under MGNREGA, inclusion of left out families in Baseline Survey for PMAY, shortage of staff in educational and health institutions and initiatives for bringing area on map of tourism.
