Burglar gang busted in Sopore: Police

Sopore: Sopore Police on Friday claimed to have busted a gang of burglars by arresting three burglars and recovering a huge quantity of goods worth 2 lacs in north Kashmir’s Sopore town.
A senior police official said that on April 22, police station Tarzoo Sopore received a written complaint from the owner of Chinar Automobile shop at Amargrah Sopore, goods worth lacs of Rupees was stolen from his shop during night hours.
Police acting on this complaint started investigation and arrested three burglars who were found to be involved in the burglary incident, an official said.
“The trio were identified as Lateef Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Kanipora Srinagar, Bilal Ahmad Malla son of Ghulam Ahmad resident of Amargrah Sopore and Ghulam Hussain Mir son of Ali Mohammad resident of Bypass Sopore,” the official said. “Goods worth two lacs has been recovered from their possession and one Maruti car which they used for ferrying the stolen items was also recovered,” the official said.
In this regard FIR no. 32/2018 under section 457,380,411,34 and 420 RPC has been registered in police station Tarzoo Sopore, he added.
