Srinagar: Chairman Muslim League Mushtaq-ul-Islam on Thursday strongly condemned the killing of 17-year-old youth Umar Kumar in Pinjora Shopian, stating that “killing of young boys has become a routine affair of forces in Kashmir”.
In a statement he said, “The death dance continues, and state is harping the tune of peace and restoration of normalcy.”
Lashing at New Delhi, Islam said that they have waged war against unarmed civilians, and carrying “genocide” in a well thought out plan.
“It’s shame that the Indian rights activists, humanists and civil society members have turned deaf and blind into the killing of young Kashmiris and the world human rights watchdogs heartlessly watch on, doing nothing,” he said.
He said that “every alternate day there is a killing of young boys and forces feel proud in emptying their cartridges on the unarmed and innocent civilians”.
Islam while lashing at political parties for their hypocritical attitude, he said that no sane person can act selective while condemning the civilian killings.
Meanwhile Islam expressed deep grief over the demise of prominent religious scholar Molana Gh Nabi Wani. Hailing his contribution for Islam, he expressed heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the bereaved family.
