SRINAGAR: The Department of Community Medicine, Government Medical College, Srinagar conducted tenth three-day workshop on research methodology on biomedical research. The workshop included various research topics on anatomy and physiology of research, research question, design, sampling, sample size estimation, ethical issues, research protocol, reference manager.
Faculty from Government Medical College, Srinagar, Government Dental College, Srinagar, SKIMS and SKIMS Medical College, Srinagar attended the workshop and was accredited with J&K State Medical Council with 12 CME credit hours, a handout issued here on Thursday read.
The visiting resource persons included Dr Sonu Goel from School of Public Health, PGIMER, Chandigarh and Prof Shariq Masoodi from SKIMS, in addition to faculty from community medicine department. Prof Samia Rashid.
Principal and Dean, Government Medical College, Srinagar while appreciating the efforts by its community medicine department encouraged research interest among faculty and residents and called for ensuring the newer post-graduate scholars were sensitised with research methodology before formally taking post-graduate research programme, it added.
