South Kashmir parts shut to mourn boy’s killing

Srinagar: Majority areas of south Kashmir Thursday are observing a shutdown to mourn the killing of a ninth class boy at the hands of government forces during clashes in Turkewangam village of Shopian district.
Umar Kumhar was killed in clashes which erupted soon after a gunfight between militants and government forces.
Reports said that Shopian district, Anantnag, Bijbehara, Qaimoh, Khudwani and other south Kashmir parts are observing shutdown.
While Pulwama and Shopian districts remained shut for the fourth consecutive day, Anantnag is observing shutdown to mourn the killing of Umar.
