Sumbal man dies in Sonamarg road mishap

Ganderbal: An elderly man was killed and four others were injured when a car they were travelling by met with an accident at Sonamarg Tuesday.
Officials said the car (JK01N-2835) on to Srinagar from Kargil collided with a truck coming in the opposite direction, resulting in injuries to five men, all residents of Dangerpora Sumbal in Bandipora district. One of the injured, Ghulam Mustafa Rather, 65, son of Abdul Rahim Rather succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS later.
The other injured have been identified as Abdul Rashid Rather son of Ghulam Mohammed Rather, Ghulam Mohammed Dar son of Ali Mohammed Dar, Ghulam Hassan Kawa son of Ab Rehman Kawa, and Ghulam Mohammed Wagay son of Ali Mohammed, all residents of Dangerpora Sumbal.
All the injured were removed to a nearby hospital where doctors referred them to SKIMS Soura, police said.
