Jammu: Noble foundation, MaaShardhaVidyapeethon Tuesday facilitated women for their exemplary work during its annual function at Guru Nanak DevBhawan Ludhiana.
The function was inaugurated by Director General of Police Dr. S.P.Vaid, Chief Patron of Punjab Kesari Group, Vijay Chopra, Chief Commissioner Income Tax Punjab and Jammu Kashmir, Vinay Kumar by lightening the lamp in presence of other dignitaries.
Chairperson Jammu Kashmir Police Wives Welfare Association ( PWWA) BhartiVaid was among 16 women of six different states who were honoured for their exemplary work in different fields.
Speaking on the occasion DGP Dr. Vaid said that noble foundation Ludhiana was doing a great service in nation building by educating more than 4000 slum children in 26 schools across Punjab.
“The best part of the function was that women of different states were felicitated for their excellence in their respective fields,”DGP said.
Foundation’s governing body of directorsincluding RajneshAhuja, KeshavRamvij, ArunThapar, Naveen Bhatia, RakeshGhambhir, SubashSachdeva , Vijay Mehtani and Rashmi Sharma honoured Dr. S.P. Vaid, Vinay Kumar Jha and Vijay Chopra.
Expressing his pleasure DGP in his message on twitter said,“It was a pleasure and honour being felicitated by chief patron Padamshree VK Chopra on the occasion.”
