Five Bandipora residents injured in Sonamarg road mishap

Ganderbal: At least five people sustained injuries when a Sentro car collided with a truck at tourist resort Sonamrag area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District Tuesday afternoon.
Reports said that a Sentro Car bearing registration number JK01N-2835 collided head-on with a truck bearing registration number JK15-6334.
Police officials said that the Sentro car was on way to Srinagar from Kargil when it collided with the truck which was on its way to Kargil from Ganderbal at Sonamarag on Srinagar-Leh highway resulting in injuries to five passengers travelling in the car.
The injured have been identified as Abdul Rashid Rather son of Ghulam Mohammed Rather, Ghulam Mohammed Dar son of Ali Mohammed Dar, Ghulam Hassan Kawa son of Abdul Rehman Kawa, Ghulam Mustafa Rather son of Abdul Rahim Rather and Ghulam Mohammed Wagay son of Ali Mohammed, all residents of Dangerpora Sumbal in Bandipora district.
All the injured were shifted to nearby hospital for medical assistance where doctors referred them to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment, police said.
