SRINAGAR: J&K High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA) Srinagar has strongly condemned the use of “brute force” by government forces against the unarmed civilian population at Drubgam, Pulwama, in which three youth were killed and dozens injured with bullets, pellets and teargas shell injuries.
It has requested its members to abstain from court work on Tuesday to register their protest against the innocent killings and inflicting of injuries on innocent people.
The Bar Association in a statement said that use of “brute force” against unarmed civilian population is the gravest kind of human rights violation of which notice should be taken by the countries world over.
Bar said every individual has a right to protest and freedom of free expression of thought and conscience, and cannot be held in slavery or servitude against conviction and commitment for achieving the right of self-determination.
