Srinagar: The BJP has decided to induct new faces in the cabinet on Monday. BJP national vice-president and in-charge of Jammu & Kashmir affairs Avinash Rai Khanna told Kashmir Reader on Saturday that the oath ceremony of the new ministers would take place on April 30.
So far, no names have been disclosed of who would be the new faces inducted in the cabinet. However, a source in the saffron party said that BJP’s J&K president Sat Sharma and Rajeev Jasotria are among the likely ones.
Last week, the BJP had directed all its ministers to put in their papers, following the outrage over the participation of two minsters, Lal Singh and Chander Prakash Ganga, in a Kathua rally that defended the men accused of raping and murdering an 8-year-old Gujjar girl in Kathua. Singh and Ganga were first asked to tender their resignations, then it was decided that a full reshuffle would take place.
Kashmir Reader had reported that the reshuffle would take place after April 27, as BJP chief Amit Shah was busy with the Karnataka polls and he would not take a decision before April 27.
