SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh All departments clerical Staff Association on Saturday held a protest again in Srinagar and demanded the removal of pay anomaly for the clericals.
Scores of protesters assembled here in Press Enclave and shouted the slogans against the state government. Protesters said that their long pending demands particularly pay anomaly for the clericals staff should be fulfilled.
“The pay anomaly has become a big challenge for all clericals in the state. The pay anomaly of employees is pending from last 20 years and we had been repeatedly asking the government to solve the issues of clerical staff, but till date our demands were not met. Government promised us for solving our issues, but practically nothing was done on the ground level,” the protesters said.
Asif Habib, publicity secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh All departments Clerical Staff Association said, “The Association will go ahead with its strike program at Civil Secretariat Srinagar on 7th May till our demands are met.”
