MVD Rajouri presents street play on road safety

SRINAGAR: Continuing its efforts for awareness among masses on the eve of ‘Road Safety Week’, Motor Vehicles Department on Friday organised a street play on ‘Road Safety’ while also distributed crash helmets and Rose flowers among drivers on busy Gujjar Mandi road of Rajouri town.
Street play was presented by noted Rangmanch theatre group of Rajouri headed by its Chairman Vishal Pahari .
SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas was chief guest of this programme who emphasized on need to follow traffic norms in letter and spirit to make roads free of accidents.
Later Motor Vehicles Department organised another event at busy Gujjar Mandi chowk and distributed crash helmets among drivers of two wheelers who were not wearing helmets with an appeal to wear helmets for their own safety and rose flowers were also handed over to all those two wheelers drivers and car drivers who were wearing crash helmets and seat belts respectively.
Dy SP Zakir Shaheen, MVD Inspectors, among others were present on this occasion.
