MLA Shopian calls on CM, seeks redressal of several issues

SRINAGAR: MLA Shopian Adv. Mohammad Yousuf Bhat called on the chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and brought several issues of his constituency into her notice and sought their redressal.
An official statement issued here said the MLA Shopian took up the issue of up-gradation of sub-district hospital Shopian to the level of district hospital and requested her for the creation of posts of specialist doctors and other paramedical staff.
Bhat also demanded the establishment of women’s college at district headquarter Shopian to cater to the large number of girl students in the only existing degree college Shopian, funds for Dubjan water supply scheme and a separate degree college at Keller. Besides, MLA discussed with the chief minister the issue of beautification of town which includes beautification of river Sangloo passing through Shopian town, landscaping of Rambiara and functioning of Shopian Dubjan Pir ki Gali Tourism Development Authority.
The chief minister assured the legislator that his demands will be looked into by the government, the statement said.
