BHSS Beerwah organises farewell for outgoing principal

BUDGAM: A farewell in honour of retired principal, S Baljit Singh, outgoing principal, Higher Secondary Beerwah, was held here on Thursday.
The function was attended by Chief Education Officer, Budgam and Vice Chairman JKTF, M Akbar Khan, President JKTF Budgam M Shafi Rathore, Zeo Panzoo, ZEO Beeruwah, Dilshad Ahmad Banday, Incharge Innovation Cell, Budgam, J A Banday. Veteran state representative, M Aslam Pandith and Dr Shabir from DIET also attended the farewell.
Special guest Abdul Rashid Bhat attended the occasion as incoming Principal Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS), Beerwah.
The day-long programme witnessed some scintillating performances, farewell songs, speeches, cultural items which were liked and appreciated by all. The programme began with the recitation of Holy Quran followed by floral tributes paid to Prophet (S.A.W.)
Showkat Hussain, Vice Principal of the institute welcomed the guests and spoke at length about the work and personality of the outgoing principal.
He declared S Baljit as one of the dedicated and devoted officers with a compassionate heart.
Speakers threw light on the retiring principal’s contributions towards education department and improvement of educational standards of the students of the institute under trying times.
CEO, Shah Rouf, while addressing the gathering greeted the outgoing principal for his untiring resolve to put the system of education straight and for developing the infrastructure of the institute at a massive scale.
He spoke of the pain that emerges from the sad saga of separation and admitted that the odyssey of life had to change course and that “one is supposed to accept the reality of the change of roles in life”. He suggested the retiring principal not to stop but keep inspiring the people around wherever he wishes in the ‘post-retirement innings’ of his life.
He advised the students to make proper use of time as there are chaotic conditions and the students are left with minimum time to prepare for the future.
