SRINAGAR: Day after Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) was revoked from Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya, the Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir led by incarcerated resistance leader Masarat Alam Bhat on Wednesday urged the international community and human rights bodies to play role in revoking the controversial law from Kashmir Valley.
A League spokesperson in a statement said government forces have licence to kill and target Kashmiri youth and it is all because of AFSPA. Due to AFSPA, government forces have launched Operation All Out to spread a reign of terror in valley and resort to unprovoked beating of people, the spokesperson said.
