DDC Ang reviews progress under CAPEX Budget

ANANTNAG: The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Anantnag Mohammad Younis Malik on Wednesday reviewed the progress of development under DDB decisions, Chief Minister’s commitments & CAPEX Budget 2017-18 here.

Under R&B sector 394.50 Kms have been macadamised against a target of 405.40 Kms during 2017-18. 100% expenditure has been done under district sector during the said period. Likewise, 100% work done has been achieved under NABARD in the district, while as work is in full swing on other projects under various schemes and will be completed within stipulated time period, an official release read.

With regard to PHE, 100% expenditure has been achieved till March 2018 and work is in progress on various projects under various schemes across the district. It was given out that under NRDWP, out of 82 schemes 13 have been completed so far while as target for the current financial year has been set as 16 schemes, it read further.

In power sector, 100% progress has been achieved under CAPEX Budget during 2017-18.

Under health sector, work on 13 regular schemes is under progress and work on PHC, Hakura has been completed under district sector. Likewise, 90% work done has been achieved on PHCs at Salia, Haptnard, Dethu and Ranipora and are ready to be handed over, read the release.

With regard to education sector, against an availability of Rs 356.71 lakhs, an expenditure of Rs 348.76 lakhs have been made on elementary and secondary education. Similarly, satisfactory achievements were found under RMSA.

Other sectors including rural development, social welfare, animal husbandry, sheep husbandry, agriculture, horticulture, sericulture, irrigation, flood control, fisheries, forest and soil conservation were also reviewed, it added.
