SRINAGAR: Awami Action Committee (AAC) patron and chairman of his faction of Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Tuesday along with party activists visited the residence of AAC’s executive member and prominent lawyer Advocate Peerzada Shamsdin Shah at Warpora, Alesteng who passed away on Tuesday after a prolonged illness.
Mirwaiz expressed sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family, especially with Abdul Basit, the son of deceased and other family members, a statement issued here said.
Recalling the contribution of Shah, Mirwaiz said he was an honest and committed member of AAC and his death has created a space in the party cadre which will be difficult to fill. He prayed for highest standards for the deceased in Jannah and patience to the bereaved family.
Mirwaiz also expressed grief over the demise of the wife of prominent resistance leader based in PaK Ghulam Muhammad Safi and extended his sympathy and solidarity to the bereaved family.
