Kangan: Scores of Students of Govt Higher Secondary School Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district Monday took out a protest march in solidarity with Kathua rape victim.
Reports said that Students boycotted their classes and took out a protest march towards Degree College Kangan raising pro freedom and anti India slogans .
The students were seen holding placards in their hands, showing different messages calling for justice in the Kathua rape and murder case.
When the protesters reached near Degree College Kangan they were joined by the students of the college and returned to main market Kangan and staged sit-in at main Chowk on Srinagar Leh highway and blocked the busy highway for half an hour.
Later police reached the spot and chased the protesting students and restored the traffic on the highway.
