Srinagar: Continuing with its corporate Social Responsibility programs, Noora Hospital, conducted a Cycling Expedition on Sunday.
The 40 kilometer expedition started from Noora Hospital, HMT Srinagar and culminated at Sopore.
Managing Director Noora Hospital, Manzoor Ahmad Wagay flagged off the race in the presence of Physical Director Islamia College Altaf-ur-Rehman and other prominent figures.
More than 75 riders took part in the expedition that reached Sopore via Pattan and Sangrama.
At the culmination of the event, prizes and certificates were distributed among the riders.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Manzoor Ahmad Wagay Managing Director, Noora Hospital said this initiative is part of their commitment to promote wellness and encouraging healthy lifestyles in Kashmir.
Highlighting the benefits of cycling, MD Noora Hospitals said this sport is a fun and healthy way to get whole family involved in exercise to reduce the risk of chronic illnesses such as cardiovascular disease which is the leading cause of death in the World.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Sharik Mosoodi Renowned Endocrinologist said highlighted the need of doing physical exercises.
“Such events are need of the hour for us to give the youth a platform to focus more on productive activities which can benefit them in the wholesome.”
