SRINAGAR: Traders Association, Poloview on Saturday took a protest rally in Srinagar against the rape and murder of eight-year-old Kathua girl and demanded capital punishment for those involved in this crime.
The protesters raised slogans against the culprits.They carried placards that reads: “justice for minor,” “punish the culprits”.
Muhammad Nayeem Mir, general secretary Traders Association of Poloview, said, “We are anguished over this shocking incident. We demand fast track court to be constituted for speedy justice to the minor girl.”
The rape and murder of an eight year-old girl, who was abducted, drugged, gang raped and murdered inside the temple, has led to huge protests in the state.
The protests in solidarity with the minor girl are being closely followed by all over the world by holding rallies and conferences. Besides routine reportage, several newspapers have carried editorials and used the case to draw attention to violence against women all over the world.
