PULWAMA: Four youths were arrested in a police raid late Thursday night in Pulwama town. The youths were arrested on charges of stone-pelting and disturbing law and order, police said.
Police have arrested a total of 11 youths on such charges in the town this week, Senior Superintendent of Police Mohammad Aslam Choudhary told Kashmir Reader.
He said that four youths were arrested late Thursday night, five youths were arrested on Wednesday, and two other youths were arrested during clashes in Pulwama town on Monday. He said all these youths were involved in protests and stone-pelting incidents in the town.
He said there were a few more who were at bay and efforts were being made to catch hold of them.
He said that those students who organised the protest on Monday in Pulwama town have been identified and would be arrested soon.
“No one found involved in any criminal activity would be spared,” he warned the stone-pelters, adding that they would be strictly dealt with.
