Free medical camp held at Pampore

PAMPORE: A Delhi-based NGO ‘Mere Apne’ in collaboration with J&K Human Fraternity organised a free medical camp at Woyun village of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.
The sub-district hospital Pampore held the camp at Islamia School Wuyan. BMO Pampore Dr Bilques Shah and others were present on the occasion.
Hundreds of patients from Woyun area were provided free medical check-up, tests, cluster and free medicine. The camp started at 10 am and concluded at 3pm.
The organisers told Kashmir Reader that within five hours, more than 600 people turned up for the free medical check up.
“About 600 patients were examined by a team of specialist doctors ranging from orthopaedics, ophthalmologists, gynaecologists, and others,” said Ravi Kapoor, founding president ‘Mere Apne’.
He said 300 cluster (eye glasses) and medicines were distributed free of cost.
