BMO recomends for salary deduction, suspension

Baramulla: Twenty six employees of health department including two medical officers were found absent from duties in Pattan on Friday.
Officials in the health department said that Block Medical Officer (BMO) Pattan Dr Masrat Iqbal visited different areas of Pattan block and inspected different health centres including PHC Wanigam, PHC Andergam, Yadipira, Khambyaar Palhalan, and found at least 26 employees including 2 doctors absent from their duties. BMO has directed the concerned to deduct two and half day salary of absent employees also.
Talking to Kashmir Reader Dr Masrat Iqbal said that some of health centres were closed while at some places only a few employees were present at their duties.
“Two doctors were also found absent from their duties,” he said.
He added that patients were visiting Pattan SDH for treatment and medical consultation. They complained before us that some employees are absent from their duties that is why we visited SDH Pattan.
He said that he has recommended suspension of two doctors.
