DDC reviews progress of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR: In order to review the progress of effective implementation of various schemes under Gram SwarajAbhiyan in the district, District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar convened a meeting of Nodal Officers, here Thursday.
The meeting was attended by, Under Secretary, to Government of India (GOI) Revenue Department, DharamVir Sharma, also nodal officer for the district, Chief Planning Officer, Ashok Khajuria, Assistant Commissioner Development, Angrez Singh, District Panchayat Officer, SunainaSawney, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. K.C Dogra, besides other district heads of various departments.
While reviewing the performance and effective implementation of the schemes, Ravinder Kumar said first phase will see coverage of 19 villages and the district administration would embark on a special campaign under the Abhiyan to apprise the people about the various schemes of the government for public welfare.
He directed all the officers to work in coordination for better results at the grass root level and also organize camps in far-flung areas so that the people can avail maximum benefits of these schemes.
