IUST suspends classwork, KU postpones exams

Srinagar: Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) has decided to suspend classwork as well as exams on Thursday while Kashmir University has postponed exams scheduled today.
“All Kashmir University examinations scheduled to be held on April 19, 2018 (Thursday) are postponed. Fresh dates for the deferred examinations shall be notified separately, later,” a statement issued by Kashmir university said.
An IUST spokesperson said classwork as well as exams stand postponed today.
New dates shall be notified separately, it said.
Meanwhile, Budgam administration has informed that class work in Boys Higher Secondary School Budgam, Girls Higher Secondary School Budgam, Higher Secondary School Beerwah, Higher Secondary School Magam, will remain suspended on Thursday besides Degree colleges Budgam and Magam.
According to the Deputy commissioner Baramulla Nasir Ahmed Naqash, class work will remain suspended on Thursday in Government Boys Degree College Sopore, Boys Higher Secondary School Sopore and Higher Secondary School Dangiwacha.
In Bandipora, district administration has decided to keep all educational institution open tomorrow except for Government Degree College Sumbal and Higher Secondary School Sumbal.
