Srinagar: Five students including four female students sustained injuries as they clashed with government forces in south Kashmir’s Anantnag on Wednesday.
The Government Degree College Boys and Girls took out a march protesting against the brutal rape and murder of an eight year old girl at Kathua.
The students hit the KP road raising slogans and demanding immediate and stern punishment to the culprits.
The protesting students also raised anti-India slogans and as they reached the KP road they were intercepted by the huge deployment of police and para-military troopers.
The protesting students resisted triggering clashes during which the government forces used tear smoke canisters against the stone pelting Students creating panic all across the town.
Sources said that five students including four girls sustained minor injuries during the clashes which were going on when reports last came in.
