SRINAGAR: Peoples Democratic Party senior leader and party vice-president Mohmmad Sartaj Madni on Tuesday appreciated the Indo-Pak Army chiefs’ call for dialogue for the resolution of issues pertaining to both the countries.
“PDP’s core ideology is that dialogue is the only way forward for resolving the contentious issues. We haven’t derailed from our track and we will keep propagating our ideology,” Madni said while addressing a public gathering in Devsar area of south Kashmir.
He said that the recent statements made by the India and Pakistan Army chiefs haven’t surprised him but the statements coming out from Army and Police headquarters from both sides were encouraging and appreciable.
“These statements have vindicated our position on the issues which both the nations are confronting. It is now clear that gun will not yield any solution,” he said while requesting both the countries to initiate a process of dialogue and reconciliation for the resolution of issues.
Commenting on the recent developments, PDP leader said there is no chaos and confusion between alliance partners PDP and BJP.
He said the Agenda of Alliance (AoA) between the two coalition partners will be carried forward in true spirit.
He said the role played by the chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Rasana rape and murder case was appreciable and alliance partner responded to her gracefully.
“Chief Minister asked BJP to expel its two members, they (BJP) responded gracefully and expelled both the ministers within hours,” he added.
He asked PDP workers to strength the party at grassroots level and assured to fulfill all the commitments party had made in the poll manifesto.
