Srinagar: Scores of students sustained injuries in Tral on Wednesday after they clashed with government forces while protesting against the Kathua rape and murder of an eight year old girl.
Hospital sources in Tral told Kashmir Reader they received scores of injured mostly girls.
They said that most of the girls had fainted due to suffocation.
Meanwhile, shopkeepers pulled down their shutters in the south Kashmir town after news about the injuring of students spread in the area.
Earlier students clashed with forces during which forces resorted to tear smoke shells and counter stone pelting.
