SRINAGAR: Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu Kashmir has condemned the “murder” of another young boy Aamir Hamid Lone of Chhatragul Kangan by government forces who was fired upon while protesting against the killing of a youth Gowhar.
In a statement, Jama’at said, “Now protesting against the atrocities has become such a heinous crime in the Indian democracy that it is awarded with no lesser punishment than the target firing. All Kashmiri Muslims are dreaded terrorists only because they demand their right to self-determination as promised to them by the government of India long back in 1947 through United Nations Organisation.”
A delegation of Jama’at comprising its political bureau chief and district Ameer Ganderbal Gul Mohammad War visited Chhatragul and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.
The delegation paid tributes to Aamir and appealed people to remain united and steadfast on the right track of Islam and never support the “tyrants” in any form.
