Srinagar: Train service resumed on Saturday after remaining suspended for three days for “security reasons” in the Kashmir valley, where resistance leaders had called for a strike and protest against the killing of four youths and injuries to around 60 during force’s action on demonstrators in Kulgam district on April 11.
An army soldier was killed and two others were injured while militants managed to escape from the force’s cordon due to massive demonstrations in the area.
This was the 8th time train service was suspended in the valley for “security reasons” this month.
A senior railway official told UNI that train service was resumed this morning in the valley.
