Srinagar: Chairman of ‘We Volunteers’ NGO Malik Asif on Friday condemned the indecorous rape and murder of 8-year girl Asifa in Kuthua.
Asif during a sit in protest organised urged the state and national authorities to award stringent punishment to the culprits involved in the barbaric act.
Speaking with reporters at press enclave after sit in, Asif said, “I condemn the people who are set to polarize and politicize the issue. It is shameful on the part of Jammu Bar Association to prevent the Crime Branch from filing the chalaan in the court,” he said.
‘We Volunteers’ demanded setting up of fair, transparent and fast track inquiry system and courts for provision of justice, so that common people do not have to take to roads pleading for justice, he added.
