Srinagar-Leh highway closed for second consecutive day

Ganderbal: The 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh highway remained closed for the second consecutive day Friday, due to landslides at Zojilla pass.
Officials said that a massive landslides had hit the Zojila stretch of the highway near zero point besides two small other landslides hit the stretch at two other places on Wednesday evening forcing suspension of traffic movement in the Zojila area.
They said that BRO the care taking agencies of the highway from Sonamarag side is on job and has pressed men and machinery in to service since Thursday morning to resume traffic movement.
