Protests erupt in SKUAST north campus against Kulgam killings

Srinagar: Protests erupted in SKUAST north campus on Thursday against the civilian killings in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Four civilians, Sarjeel Ahmad, Bilal Ahmad, Fazil Illahi and Aijaz Ahmad were killed by government forces in Khudwani area f Kulgam during clashes which erupted amid a gunfight between militants and forces on Wednesday. At least 60 persons also sustained injuries in force’s actions.
Witnesses told Kashmir Reader that several students including female students held protests inside SKUAST campus of north Kashmir situated at Wadoora Sopore in Baramulla district. Pro freedom and anti India slogans were raised during the protest.
The protests were underway when reports last came in.
