SHOPIAN: Normal life returned to Shopian after nine days of continuous shutdown against the killing of four civilians and 12 militants by the government forces in different gunfights in the district on April 1.
Shops, schools and other business establishments opened on Tuesday while public and private transport also plied normally.
Since January 24, 30 persons including 14 civilians were killed by government forces in district.
Three of the killed including a militant were residents of neighbouring Kulgam district.
