Arrest inhuman, undemocratic: Tehreek-e-Khawateen

SRINAGAR: Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen chairperson Zamrooda Habib has strongly condemned the “illegal” arrest of women activists of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM).
In solidarity with DeM, Zamrooda Habib visited Rambagh police station where the women activists are lodged, a party statement issued here said.
She strongly criticised government’s “inhuman and undemocratic” policies, saying that “innocent people are being killed by Indian forces and we as mothers and sisters are not even allowed to express our grief and solidarity to the affected families”.
“The arrested women of DeM were on way to share the pain of those families whose dear ones were killed by government forces. This is irony and very unfortunate to book these women under section13 (unlawful activity),” Zamrooda said and asked government to release all women activists immediately.
